TGIF! Summer Book Lovin!

This week, Ginger asks us: Where are you taking a book on vacation this summer?

I'm taking books everywhere with me! But FOR SURE to the annual girls weekend! Last year a group of girlfriends from my church got together at a lakehouse owned by one of their grandparents in Michigan! Last year I brought a book called God Girl which is about becoming the woman God wants you to be! It was really insightful and I loved laying on the pier next to the lake and reading while the sun warmed me! This year I'm not sure what I'll bring! Mostly because my TBR is HUGE. Seriously out of control. lol! I'm thinking I might bring Evenfall...I think it would be a good one for a girls weekend :)

I'm also taking books with me to Tennessee! Probably Everlasting or Passion...I'm starting Wolfsbane tonight, so we'll see! I love all of these series so there's a good chance I'll fly through all of them before I even make it to Tennessee!! Guess I'd have to stop at a bookshop out there...Oooh, darn.... :)

ALSO TODAY! Is my very first time in the Follow My Book Blog Friday meme by Parajunkee!! Idk where I've been but it's such a great idea!!

Today the hosted blogger is  Mickey at I'm A Book Shark and let me just say that her favorite fairytale is Little Mermaid and from the description, she's also a Ginger - which kind of makes us instant friends. Just sayin :) So go check her out and then make sure to check out Parajunkee for a whole list of awesome bloggers!!!

Question: In light of the Summer Solstice. Also known as Midsummer...let's talk about fairies. What is your favorite fairy tale or story that revolves around the fae?
I'm torn on favorite fairy tales between The Little Mermaid and Thumbelina :) Thumbelina was the very first book I read, I was in kindergarten! I used to think it would be the coolest thing to be able to sit inside a flower...and have a Prince! How much better does it get, right?! :) The Little Mermaid is pretty self explanatory - heeeeelloooo princess? Red hair? YES.

As far as favorite stories revolving around Fey now, it would have to be the book I wrote and am trying to get published. lol! But my favorite published stories would be Melissa Marr's Wicked Lovely Series! She created such a vibrant world. Even the Dark Court has a strange beauty about them!
And now, it's time for me to go to wrestling practice! I get to beat up a student today. This makes me smile :) Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I hope to see you Sunday for an IMM!
