To Tempt A Scotsman
Victoria Dahl

SHE HAS NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE—
After finding herself at the center of a very public scandal that left one man dead and another on the run, Lady Alexandra Huntington has exiled herself to her brother's estate and is content to manage his affairs. But the arrival of darkly handsome Collin Blackburn awakens her curiosity and her desire—and the advantage of being a fallen woman is that she can be ruined only once.
EXCEPT HER HEART.
After a promise sworn to his father, Collin Blackburn is compelled to seek the aid of the woman who brought about his brother's death in a senseless duel. Yet Lady Alexandra is not the shameless femme fatale he expected. In fact, Collin suspects she is guilty of nothing more than a hunger to experience passion, and the brawny Scot is certainly equipped to oblige. But the quick—witted, keenly sensual Alexandra has a few lessons of her own to impart—on life, love, and the delicious joys of succumbing to temptation. -- Goodreads
HOLY I LOVE THIS BOOK. I need to quit reviewing these, or at least attempting to, and just do an in-general "I love everything by Victoria Dahl" post. Remember the thighs Marissa loved so much in A Little Bit Wild?? Alex is a bit like her. She knows what she wants and she is willing to do just about anything to get it...including traveling to seduce and then trick her hottie Scotsman, Collin, into her life. But see, Alex has some issues and Collin has a bit of a temper...and he's a little bit blind to the people around him sometimes.
This is by far the most emotional book I've read by Dahl, and actually, coming from a chick who doesn't cry when reading (yes, I know it's rare, but I promise it really doesn't happen often at all for me!) I found myself wiping away a tear at Alex's hurt. I loved her so deeply and felt her pain so fully that the breath hitched in my own chest and I prayed and well as despaired at her own hopes of Collin finding her and what it would mean. Again, Dahl knows how to write a totally desirable man and so Collin is nothing short of amazing...and he says "Aye." which between him and Zachary Moore (Shade/Shift/Shine by Jeri Smith-Ready) I've decided is the sexiest word ever.
Heads up to new readers in the romance genre - you will be consumed by Dahl and her strong heroines, stock up and read on!
